Letter from Fr. Froehle
I am thrilled to see our faith formation programs get underway! To ensure our safe environment and Covid protocols are followed, we must have six more middle school small group leaders. As of today, we will not be able to begin our middle school program on October 21. I am asking you to step up to help our teens in their journey of faith and volunteer as a small group leader.
As a small group leader, your primary responsibility is to help facilitate discussion during the small group portion of the evening. Our faith formation team will provide you with the questions for the small group discussion. The general format of each evening is gathering, a game, a teaching, small group sessions, and prayer.
To help you discern
, as a small group leader, we ask that you…
Both in your personal life and while with teens, having time set aside for prayer helps us all receive the graces the Lord wants to give.
Get to know the teen
Connecting on a personal level during each small group session before diving into the teaching of the night is a great way to help the teens appreciate the faith more deeply.
Lead by example
Speaking from your own experience of being a disciple and journeying in the faith is a helpful window for teens to begin to understand their own relationship to Christ and his Church!
Engage in dialogue.
Each night is designed to help the teens navigate important topics together, and you are able to help the teens begin to articulate their experiences of faith, the questions they have, and what it means to be a disciple.
As a small group leader, you do not…
Run the session the entire evening.
Write any sort of lesson plan.
Need to worry about having all the answers.
Please contact Laura Shupe in the parish office 651-463-5237 to get started. It has been wonderful seeing parishioners step up in times of need, and I know this will be another example of that phenomenon. Thank you for considering this request!
I am thrilled that we have found an excellent candidate to fill the role of Director of Youth Faith Formation and Youth Ministry. We will provide further information as soon as we are able!

October is Respect Life Month. We would normally be getting ready for a baby bottle drive for Pregnancy Choices. Because of COVID-19 they are working under some restrictions and we won't be able to do the drive this year.
This doesn't mean that Pregnancy Choices doesn't need our help. Their needs continue. If you are able to help here are a few options:
Monetary donations are always welcome & appreciated.
Gift Cards donations are also welcome. Ideally, they like $10 gift cards to Target or Walmart so their clients can use them for groceries, diapers, or clothing.
Material donations have some restrictions this year. They are not currently able to accept used items. If you would like to donate clothing, here is a list of needs: fall and winter – all sizes newborn -24 months, complete daytime outfits (shirt and pants or top and skirt, or dresses).
Donations can be brought to the parish office or sent/taken directly to Pregnancy Choices:

Retreats for Healing After Abortion
Rachel’s Vineyard is a safe place to renew, rebuild, and redeem hearts broken by abortion. You will find a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing. The next retreat is Oct. 30 - Nov. 1 in Coon Rapids. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Our Lady’s Rosary
Everyone is invited to pick up a blessed rosary on the table in the Gathering Space.
You are invited to take a prayer shawl for anyone that may need or want one.
